Their union marked the beginning of a lifelong adventure that would eventually lead them to Pennsylvania. Originally hailing from Fairfax, Virginia, the couple made the decision to move to Pennsylvania in 2009 to embark on a new chapter in their lives.
They had a unique start, as they were introduced through Soha's cousin, Caroline, who, with an uncanny ability to spot durable relationships, saw potential in Mike. The initial connection between Mike and Soha began with phone conversations that spanned six weeks. It was during these talks that they discovered a shared sense of genuine honesty and authenticity in each other's voices.
The first face-to-face meeting occurred in New Jersey, but it lacked the anticipated "wow" factor. Instead, Soha saw in Mike a man who had lived a full life, and his depth made her a bit nervous. After the initial meeting, cold feet were felt and an email was sent expressing reservations. However, fate had other plans. Mike initiated a call, and through open communication, they discussed their first meeting and decided to continue their connection. Their relationship flourished as they brought their shared faith and beliefs into their marriage, creating a foundation built on mutual respect and genuine love. The love story reached a poignant moment at another wedding when Mike realized, "I think I can marry you now," leading to a beautiful proposal.
Reflecting on their journey, Soha fell in love with Mike's sense of humor, thoughtfulness, and genuine love for her and her family. Mike, in turn, admires Soha's sincerity, describing her as a mix of a grown woman and a child, challenging him and making him laugh.
