Where did you grow up? How long have you lived in the area? Tell us about your family
I grew up in Las Cruces, NM. I have been in AZ since 2000. Lived in Tempe, Mesa, Scottsdale, and now Gilbert. Shannon an I have been married for 14 years. We have 3 children Aria (18), Raeya (7), and Orlando (5)
Tell us about the events that led up to where you are now.
I worked for JZZ Technologies sales software/hardware and in 2008 when things turned rough for everyone, I had a friend who introduced me to insurance. He told me it was recession-proof and was not wrong. I was in the industry for about 5 years, took a small break, and then decided to open an agency in 2014 with a couple of partners. It has been very challenging and rewarding all at once. I love working and helping people every day
What is your business, how/why did you start your business?
We are an insurance brokerage and I wanted to start a company whose service was top priority.
What is unique about your business?
VIP Insurance Service is a full-service brokerage that can provide insurance nationwide. We find affordable solutions for our clients for their insurance requirements. We are also a small company with an extensive reach. Having a direct relationship with an agent and not a big company helps us understand our client's concerns and needs.
