It was while studying at Boston University that Jimmy and Jenny Law first met. Jimmy was a senior and in the brother fraternity of freshman Jenny’s sorority, and they were good friends for nine years before they started dating. After getting to know one another through various stages of adulthood, they figured, what’s another 70-odd years, and got married in 2012.

After moving to the Austin area from New York City in 2014, their adorable children, Summer (6) and Owen (5), were born. Originally living in Avery Ranch, the Law family stumbled upon Travisso one day doing what many parents can relate to... “a get baby to nap” car ride. Once they saw what the neighborhood has to offer, they decided to purchase one of the custom lots for its amazing views.  

Little did they know an impending pandemic was about to happen. They didn’t know if they were destined to ever move here, so, during the COVID-19 quarantine, they decided that Hill Country views were a far better place to be while they designed and built their custom home.

The local housing market is familiar territory for Jenny being a global real estate advisor with Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty. Besides her own family, she has moved numerous families into Travisso mainly because she believes there is no better neighborhood to live in.

Jenny is proud of the fact she has been named a Platinum Top 50 agent (top 1% in Austin) and received recognition within the real estate community, including Austin Board of REALTORS® Industry Awards, Real Trends Top 1.5% Agent nationwide, Austin Business Journal Residential Awards, Top 500 Real Producers in Austin and been interviewed by CNBC, KXAN, Austin Real Producers Magazine as well as Culture Map Austin.

Her career in the current market certainly keeps her busy with little spare time to indulge in the things she loves, such as her passion for photography, going to the movies, traveling, hiking and spending time with friends. Jenny is also partial to heading to one of the many rooftop bars in downtown Austin with Edge, Zanzibar and P6 being her favorites. She is also an active contributor to Austin Safe Alliance and volunteers for the CC Mason PTA, as well as being on the Austin Board of REALTORS® Diversity Committee and is an upcoming board member of the Asian Real Estate Association of America.

Not to be outdone by his wife’s successful career, Jimmy is the Director of Customer Success/Operations at Ricoh Technologies. He enjoys his “free” time by watching movies, exploring new restaurants, collecting sneakers, traveling and researching new technology. He is also a huge New York Yankees fan and loves spending time at the beach.

Summer is in first grade. She is an independent, intelligent social butterfly who wants everyone to be her friend. We can all learn from her as she uses kindness to overcome dealing with bullies and turns them into friends. She loves playing with Roblox, swimming, music, horseback riding, playing with Barbies and, of course, spending time with all her friends.

Owen just started kindergarten. He is a typical boy who is energetic and dinosaur-obsessed. He knows the name of every single dinosaur that has ever existed and loves playing with his collection as well as his cars. He’s also active with soccer, drawing and coloring, and watching Ninja Kidz and Fun Squad.

As a family, Sunday brunch is something they almost never miss! They love exploring all the amazing restaurants Austin has to offer, and they all love to travel and explore new places. Having recently purchased a beach house in Crystal Beach, on the coast of Texas, they look forward to spending many weekends making memories at the beach. 

A fun family tradition they have around Christmas is to head to the Gaylord Resort in Grapevine, just outside Dallas. Downtown Grapevine is a must-see as it transforms into something quite magical during the holiday season with the buzz of the holidays and all of its seasonal decor. New Year’s Day brunch is another family tradition they love to indulge in as a fun start to the new year.

In addition to the beautiful hill country views, the best part about living in Travisso, according to the Laws, are all the people who make this community the friendly and inviting neighborhood it is. We couldn’t agree more!
