As summer comes to a close, Edinburgh is preparing for one of our community’s most cherished autumn traditions. This November, our annual tribute to military service returns, and we are inviting all local U.S. Military Veterans and community supporters to get involved.

If you are an Edinburgh resident and a U.S. Military Veteran, we want to honor you! For our upcoming November issue, Stroll Edinburgh will feature the stories and services of our local military heroes.
Whether you served active duty, in the reserves, or are retired from any branch of service, we would love to highlight your dedication and sacrifices in our special Veterans Voices publication.

Mark your calendars for Monday, November 2, 2026! The Bear’s Best Veterans Charity Golf Classic returns for its third year, bringing together Veterans, neighbors, local businesses, and supporters for a full day of camaraderie, celebration, and gratitude.
What started as a small outing has grown into a major Edinburgh tradition benefiting the Georgia Purple Heart Association. Highlights of this year's event include:
- Opening Ceremonies: A moving start featuring Taps, the National Anthem performed by Edinburgh's own Mia Ramos, and a spectacular military parachute landing on the golf course.
- Special Jump Tribute featuring paratroopers in honor of Edinburgh resident Colonel Vince Apruzzese Sr. (Ret.).
- Live Media Coverage: FOX 5 Atlanta’s Paul Milliken returns to cover the day's highlights live.
- Full Day of Hospitality: Enjoy breakfast from Chick-fil-A and Krispy Kreme, hot dogs at the halfway house, assistance from local Boy Scouts and NGHS JROTC cadets, and a prime rib dinner hosted by Bear’s Best.
Our commitment to our service members remains front and center: every Veteran who participates plays for free. If you are a Veteran, we invite you to join us on the course as our honored guest.

We rely on the generosity of our community to keep this event free for Veterans while raising vital funds for the Georgia Purple Heart Association.
- Sponsor a Veteran Golfer: For just $100, you can directly cover the entry fee for a local Veteran golfer to enjoy a full day of golf, food, and celebration at no cost to them.
- Tournament Sponsorships: Businesses and residents can explore various corporate and tee sponsorship tiers to support the event.

Silent Auction & Raffle Donations: We are actively collecting donations for our event raffle and silent auction.
