Neighbors and Traditions: Meet the Hardin Family

Celebrating nearly 25 years of community and memories in Edinburgh.

Back in December 2001, Steve and Cheri Hardin settled into Edinburgh, looking for a great place to raise a young family. Nearly 25 years later, Enniskillen Court is woven into every chapter of their lives. Alongside close neighbors, Steve and Cheri helped found the neighborhood swim league, which quickly became the heartbeat of their summers. All three kids grew up on the team, spending endless sunny days at the pool while dads brought dinner over straight from work. From neighborhood baby showers, birthdays, and graduations to driveway gatherings and legendary Halloween nights, Edinburgh has given them so much more than a house; it has given them a true community.

Meet The Parents, Steve and Cheri
An engineer at AT&T for more than three decades, Steve is a builder and problem-solver at heart. As he eyes retirement, he’s leaning into his favorite passions. Steve loves working on DIY projects around the house, restoring his classic 1982 Mustang, collecting vinyl, and fishing. Being naturally handy, he’s always ready to help out a neighbor when something needs fixing. When game day rolls around, you can count on him to cheer on his Yellow Jackets and the Braves. Steve is never one to just do what everyone else is doing; he likes forging his own path, whether that means hunting down an obscure roadside attraction, tasting a rare bourbon, or building something.

Cheri worked as a paralegal before becoming a full-time stay-at-home mom when Nina was born. For years, she was constantly on the move, shuttling everyone between swim practice, baseball games, and cheer practices. Once the kids grew more independent during high school, Cheri returned to the workforce in family law, a demanding field she has grown deeply passionate about and pours her whole heart into every day. Through it all, she remains the steady peacemaker of the household, making sure everyone feels supported, happy, and connected through every busy season of life.

The Hardin “Kids” (Now Fully Grown!)

Nina
After finishing her undergrad at Georgia College and earning her MBA from Kennesaw State, Nina made her home in downtown Atlanta. Nina works in ad operations at a paid marketing agency. Post-grad, Nina has discovered a love for travel and mapping out every detail of a getaway. She recently turned that passion into a side business building custom travel itineraries for others. Nina is enjoying venturing into the world of professional travel planning with Fora Travel (follow her journey on Instagram @ninavhardin).

Outside of the office, she spends her weekends trying great new restaurants and bars, and cheering on Arsenal and the US Women’s National Team. At the end of the day, her favorite place to unwind is back home, where she spoils her two cats, Willow and Olive, who are truly like her little babies.

Luke
A sports fanatic through and through, Luke built his passion into a profession with the Chattanooga Lookouts after completing his undergrad and master’s degrees at Ole Miss. While he lives in Tennessee where he’s built a great circle of close friends, he’s never far away when game day rolls around. Whether it’s football, baseball, golf, or tennis, Luke watches it all and loves heading back to Oxford to support his Rebels or joining his dad at a Georgia Tech or Braves game. Outside of work and sports, Luke is the ultimate go-with-the-flow guy, never stressing about plans and always happy to just show up, relax, and enjoy time with everyone.

Lily
The youngest of the three siblings, Lily is naturally gifted at painting, drawing, and tackling challenging puzzles. As she continues to forge her way into adulthood, balancing work and school, Lily usually spends time with her friends or relaxes at home with her sweet cat, Luna. She works as a dental assistant at Gentry Dentistry of Suwanee (shoutout to one of our Stroll Partners!), where the team has truly welcomed and supported her like family, and she is also attending Georgia State University to study Neuroscience.

Through every busy season, changing schedule, and new adventure, Enniskillen Court has been the constant backdrop tying everything together. Nearly twenty-five years after moving in, the Hardins are thankful for the lifelong friendships, shared traditions, and true sense of neighborhood that have made Edinburgh such a special place to grow up and call home.
