Meet The Bork Family, Blake, Annelise & Henry

In a sea of red and black, there’s no missing the Bork house. “We’re the Florida fans on a street full of Bulldogs!” says Annelise. She, her husband Blake and their son Henry moved into the neighborhood last May and have since put their Gator loyalty on display. Blake is a University of Florida graduate who works as the director of capital finance for Comcast. He loves numbers, so the job is a natural fit. Annelise is a University of North Georgia graduate who works as a clinical nursing educator at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. It’s no surprise that her passion is working with children.

They welcomed Henry to the family on December 26, 2021. “Henry was born the day after Christmas, so 2022 was a year of many firsts! One exciting tradition that Blake looks forward to is all three of us making his grandmother's Christmas cookies from scratch,” says Annelise.

Henry is an adventurous and happy baby. He’s learned to stand and walk and Annelise says he will probably just start running soon. He goes to The Goddard School and loves Toy Story, reading, and playing with his best buddy, Tebow, the family’s two-year-old Australian Shepherd. They have a 10-year-old Tabby cat named Tabasco, too.

Annelise’s parents, Pat and Gay Blenke (otherwise known as Pops and Gabby) are SOTL residents as well, so they enjoy frequent visits to each other’s houses. They try to get back to Orlando often to see Blake’s family and have travel dreams of visiting France, Amsterdam, Italy, and as much of the US as possible.

As a family, they love to take walks around the neighborhood or have a nice dinner out on the town – anything Italian or Mexican will do! They’re learning to play pickleball, so say “hi!” if you see them out on the courts!

They have no regrets about moving to SOTL. “We love how family-friendly our neighborhood is! We can’t wait for the lifelong friends our family will meet here,” says Annelise.
