Meet Two Sport Athlete, Zach Schlepp!

Hey there Residents of Spring Lake! My name is Zach Schlepp, and I'm currently a senior at Spring Lake High School. I am 18 years old. My parents are Mike & Kari Schlepp and my sister's name is Kailyn, who is a sophomore at Spring Lake.  I love playing basketball and baseball. I am a shooting guard in basketball and a shortstop in baseball. I have been on the Varsity basketball team since I was a sophomore, and I have been on the Varsity baseball team all four years. I have also played travel baseball since I was eight years old, and I played travel basketball for seven years, so I’ve been involved in these two sports since I was a youngster!

I like creating friendships and memories with my teammates and coaches. Winning is a big thing for me, but learning life lessons throughout high school has proven even bigger.  My proudest moment in basketball was winning the District Championship last year with my teammates. My proudest moment in baseball was winning the District and Regional championships last year. These are moments that I will remember forever.  I also enjoy golfing in the summer and hanging out with my friends and family.  My plan after graduation is to attend the University of Kentucky for business. My advice to future student-athletes would be to always try to maintain a positive mindset through the ups and downs and to always go 100%!
