Hello, friends! I'm Mollye, a seven-year-old Seal Mitted Ragdoll with big blue eyes, soft manners, and, if you ask my family, just a tiny obsession with being close to the people I love.

I came home after my humans said goodbye to their beloved Maltese, Maurice, who spent 13 wonderful years with them. They found me at Cats by Francy in Lafayette, and before long, I had quietly found my place in their hearts. I like to think Maurice would approve.

My name has a special story, too. I was named after a lifelong family friend whose bright blue eyes reminded my family of mine. They even kept the unique spelling—Mollye with an "e"—as a tribute to her.

Now, I know what you're thinking. Fifteen pounds sounds like a lot of cat. And you're right! I'm a pretty big girl. But don't let my size fool you. I'm quiet, ladylike, and my meow is so soft that sometimes my humans have to stop and listen for it.

My favorite place in the whole house isn't a sunny windowsill or a cozy cat bed. It's wherever my humans happen to be. If they walk into another room, I'm right behind them. Every step they take, I take too. Some call it following. I call it making sure they're never lonely.

I also have one little habit I just can't seem to outgrow. Even though I'm fully grown, I still love climbing onto my humans' chests, burying my face into their necks, and making biscuits with my paws—sometimes right on their faces! It's exactly what I did as a kitten, and honestly, I don't see any reason to stop now.

Of course, every house has someone in charge, and around here, that honor belongs to Bonnie, our three-pound Yorkie. She's much smaller than I am, but she has absolutely no doubt who's the boss. I simply let her think she's supervising me. It keeps the peace.

Every morning, I'm there to greet my family with a soft little meow and my biggest blue-eyed stare. At night, I'm there again as everyone settles in for bed. Those quiet moments together are my favorite part of the day.

My family often says animals are one of God's greatest gifts, a reminder of innocence, comfort, and unconditional love. I just know that loving my people is the easiest thing I've ever done.
