Woof Ridglea Friends!

I’m Clarke. Better known as Clarke Shark or Bubba. I’m a seventh-month-old golden retriever, which is about 3 years old to you humans. I practically am human, or my parents think so. I love to be carried like a baby and give hugs when Mom and Dad get home. One time they even put me on a swing at Berney Park and I wuffed it. We moved to Ridglea North about a month ago. My parents love to take me on walks past all the beautiful houses and I love my new big backyard. I even offer my landscaping services to my parents, I’m great at weed-eating and picking up mulch. You’ll recognize me on a walk when I’m yanking my parents across your lawn because I saw a squirrel. I’m the boss of these humans and everyone knows it.

I know I’m young, but I’ve already had a pretty busy life. It all started on a cold night in February when I was just minding my business at the farm with all the other golden retrievers. Suddenly, these two humans walked in the door. They looked exactly like your typical just-married-no-kids couple so I just knew I had to go home with them. I jumped up on the gate and asked my (soon-to-be) mommy to pick me up! We have the same hair color, so I just knew she had to be mine. It only took a few seconds before they told my breeder that I was going home with them. That was my favorite day ever before every day that has happened since then.

I’ve got to meet so many dogs and humans on our walks around Clearfork and The Trinity Trails. I also have made myself well known on what my mom calls “Tik Tok.” I have a very best friend who is a red golden retriever, Skeeter. We go together like salsa and queso. She lives in our old neighborhood though, so I am looking for some new doggie friends to go on walks with. Other parts of my busy life include going everywhere with my parents, I love Homegoods with Mom and Lowe’s with Dad. I will go anywhere I can ride in one of those buggy things and not walk.

One time I went skiing with my humans in Colorado and followed my mom down the bunny slope. Some of my favorite activities are going to Starbucks for pup cups and Sonic for wag cups. I am ready and willing to go anywhere that will give me some of that fluffy sweet stuff!!! I also love swimming but my lazy paws would rather be relaxing on a pool float.

I’m so lucky to be a part of this crazy family and cannot wait for all the trips, memories, and sweet treats for life. If you see me around, please give me all the pets!
