Meet the Ackermanns

Eric, Michaela, Wyatt, and Olivia

Happy summer! I am Michaela Ackermann, and I'd like to introduce my family to our fabulous Niguel Shores neighbors.

We are the Ackermanns, Eric, Michaela, Wyatt, and Olivia.

We moved in 19 years ago to Halyard Dr. with our 7-month-old son and expecting our daughter. Eric moved to SJC when he was 6, and I was born in Laguna, raised in Dana Point.  The Ack Pack includes our precious rescue pups – “The Bigs” – Moose, and Maleficent – Great Pyrenees Mountain Dogs and “The Littles” – Mojo and Murphy – Chiweenie Mixes.  We are best known for our loud, rambunctious canine family members. I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize for being a nuisance to many of our neighbors.  We LOVE our pets but realize we need a lot of forgiveness for their BIG presence in the 'hood.

My husband and I are high school sweethearts. We both went off to college and reunited 12 years later.   We have been married for 20 years. Eric has worked for Siemens Building Industries for over a decade, and I am a kindergarten teacher.  Our son, Wyatt, attends Linfield University, where he plays soccer. Our daughter will attend Boise State University in the fall.  Our family is all proud Dana Hills Dolphin graduates. We all love the beach and mountains. Eric is an avid pickleball player, golfer, and skier. Wyatt loves soccer, skiing, and snowboarding. Olivia loves snowboarding.   I like watching them all.

Nearly 20 years ago, when we were blessed to move into the Shores, we met friends for life. Ten couples, all in our early 30s, with babies and toddlers. Our kids have morphed into cousins.  My kids consider all the Shores friends their Aunties and Uncles. Shores Ohana.

Eric and I are blessed with healthy kids that we are so proud of and adore. Professions we enjoy and are passionate about. Pets we treasure. And, of course, the best neighborhood ever, Niguel Shores.
