Meet the Lindow Family!

The Lindows know how to make the ordinary extraordinary!

Lori and Denton didn’t start out with much space. They started out in a 400 square foot houseboat on Portage Bay while Denton zipped around as a bike messenger and Lori worked as a receptionist downtown. So when they stepped into their first Madison Park condo, an 890 square foot space, it felt like a palace. Over time, they upgraded their digs, but it was the neighborhood itself that won their hearts.

Now, their home buzzes with the energy of daughters Lyra and Loue and their cat, Koko. Life is busy with school, lessons, and activities, but the family’s focus is simple: having fun together.

In 2021, they tried island life, moving to Oahu with its mountains, palm trees, and endless blue skies. Paradise, right? Yes, but Seattle called them back. Lori returned one October to find crisp air, brilliant fall leaves, and sunshine, and just like that, the city’s mix of natural beauty and urban energy pulled them home.

The Lindows thrive on the small, silly, unforgettable moments: long walks to coax a nap, celebrating swim test victories, or stopping to pet every dog in sight (with permission, of course). They’ve watched their daughters dance at Music in the Park, ride bikes for the first time, and fill the house with laughter that sticks in your memory.

At home, playfulness rules. There’s the “family sandwich,” a pile on where everyone takes turns as bread, cheese, or meat. Minor bumps get the magic touch, a spell from Lori’s grandfather: Presto change o; Sacramento, make [name and body part] all better. Silly? Yes. Memorable? Absolutely.

Lyra fills the house with song, Loue is always on the move, and the parents cherish quiet moments with a book. A core family rule: people before devices. Screens can wait, real connection comes first.

Travel is another way the family bonds. From trips to Australia, New Zealand, and Japan to quick getaways in Lincoln City, Oregon, they love exploring new places and slowing down together. Their favorite condo there features an indoor pool, classic games, and plenty of room to just be.
Music is the family soundtrack; from Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, and Olivia Rodrigo to reggae, punk, and Seattle grunge. Favorite meals? Pagliacci pizza, taco salad, or Denton’s mean salmon, asparagus, and potato dinner that the whole family loves! Rosita’s in Green Lake remains a sentimental favorite from Lori and Denton’s first date.

The Lindows don’t take themselves too seriously, but they take love, laughter, and family time very seriously. It’s a mix that keeps the laughs coming, the moments meaningful, and life just the right amount of fun.
