For 12-year-old Cooper, Nugget is more than just a pet. He is a tiny ball of energy with a big personality.

Nugget is a 2-year-old hamster who quickly won Cooper over during a visit to the pet store. “I wanted to get a snake, but my mom said no way,” Cooper laughs. “So, we decided a hamster was a better choice.” One look at Nugget, and the decision was easy.

These days, Nugget keeps things entertaining at home. One of his favorite activities is running around Cooper's room in his rolling ball. When he is not exploring, Nugget is busy in his cage, running on his wheel for what seems like miles. As a nocturnal pet, most of his energy comes out at night.

Nugget also has quite the appetite and loves any special treats Cooper brings home from the pet store. Whether it is snack time or playtime, he is always on the move.

One of Cooper’s favorite things about Nugget is his ability to climb all over his cage, showing off his quick reflexes and adventurous spirit. But more than anything, it is Nugget’s cuteness that makes him such a great companion.
