Meet Ryder Griggs, a junior at St. X who runs a local lawn care business here in the neighborhood called Ryder’s Lawn Care! We recently chatted with him about his business, and he shared his story with us.

"I started the business because of my interest in entrepreneurship and lawn care, and I’ve really enjoyed growing it so far.

My older brother, Wesley, also ran a lawn care business in the neighborhood throughout high school, so I’ve been around it for a while. I worked at Target to save up and purchase his equipment, including an F-150 that I now use to transport everything. Now that I’m able to drive, this is my first full mowing season where I can expand my services throughout the entire neighborhood.

Currently, I offer mowing, edging, trimming, and general weekly lawn maintenance, and I’m planning to take on larger projects like mulching in the future. I take pride in being reliable, detail-oriented, and focused on not just improving individual yards, but helping make the neighborhood look its best as a whole.
