And the Award Goes To!
Peter Vani
Peter Vani has seen the bright lights of the stage. A junior at Bishop Miege High School (https://www.bishopmiege.com) and the middle of three sons of John and Bridget Vani, Peter is a fine young sixteen-year-old. His aspirations to be in theater are already coming true.
Peter says he has performed in nearly every production the school has put on. Recently, Peter played Andrew Carnes in musical Oklahoma. His performance in a murder mystery called, “When the Lights Were Out,” has brought him some attention. Playing the butler, Remley, attracted positive reviews from the KC Cappies (https://cappies.com/kc). The review typically chooses 3-4 actors to highlight and Peter was most mentioned! No nominations or awards have been given out for those yet.
Peter enjoyed his trip to Los Angeles and reported, “I was able to see many movie sets and lots of areas I had never experienced.”
Music is also one of Peter’s interests and talents. He had to step in for a friend in a recent Barbershop competition. Peter had just one week to learn and memorize the music. Even with the abbreviated rehearsal time, the young group of singers earned gold at the competition!
Peter has always been interested in learning the saxophone. He enjoys his Video Production class at school but not really his History class! He’s not a huge sports fan other than local teams, of course!
When not in school or rehearsing, you can find Peter listening to music, going on walks, playing tennis, gaming, or just hanging out with friends at the mall or bowling alley. He particularly loves the band, Jamiroquai, whose genre is acid jazz, punk, jazz-funk, classic soul, etc…Check ‘em out!
Some Peter favorites are penguins, Wingstand (https://wingstand.com), the color cyan, the movie Whiplash, and orange chicken!
Watch the Playbills…Peter Vani may be starring soon!
