Celebration of Tables Fundraiser A Huge Success

We're excited to share the Glen Ellyn Newcomers & Neighbors Club's annual fundraiser, Celebration of Tables, was a huge success benefiting the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry! It was an amazing afternoon filled with fundraising, bubbly, creativity and inspiration for all.

The event was held Sunday, March 12 at Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton and it was just simply gorgeous. Similar to a housewalk but with tables, the afternoon featured 20 tablescapes designed by local individuals and businesses and the crowd was very impressed and inspired by their creative designs.

“Celebration of Tables was launched ten years ago as a way to give Glen Ellyn Newcomers & Neighbors Club members an opportunity to share their family traditions, style and heirlooms, as well as participate in a lovely day of visiting with friends and seeing inspirational entertaining ideas,” said Diana Laufenberg, an event founder and 2023 stylist. “It is a Pinterest board come to life!” she said.

Event attendees were also treated to some delicious light bites, wine, and bubbly, along with a live string music trio and a variety of raffle opportunities. There was a wine pull, a 50/50 split-the-pot cash raffle and a dozen themed raffle packages with donated items from local businesses and individuals.

In its 10th year, Celebration of Tables had an incredible turnout, and also raised more money and collected more food than ever before! We are overwhelmed by the community’s generosity and support in helping make this event the most successful Celebration of Tables yet. It would not have been possible without the support of our stylists, sponsors, planning committee, volunteers, attendees, and other community donors.

The Pantry has offered a heartfelt thank you to Glen Ellyn Newcomers & Neighbors Club for hosting the event.
