Sports Teams: Anything Oklahoma Sooners, NY Yankees, Cowboys, Stars, Mavericks and of course my son Holden has other teams he loves.

 

Music: We love all music in our family, you find us listening to Christian, country, oldies, alternative, pop, to rap! Every time we have a road trip each family member picks 10 songs and it's so diversified.

 

Family Dinner: Lebanese food, kibeh and grapeleaves

 

Do you have any family traditions? We travel a lot and actually this summer we are finishing the kids 49th state then Alaska will be our 50th all together next year. We buy an ornament from every trip. We also are extreme Christmas people, so we go all out for the Holiday Season.

 

What college/university did you attend? Our daughter Madison is currently attending the University of Oklahoma.  

 

Where are you originally from? John - born and raised in Denton, I was born in San Antonio but moved to Denton at age 10.

 

 

How long have you lived in this neighborhood? 5 years with our family but Chrissy lived here as a middle school/teen with her grandparents on Highview Circle.

 

 

What do you like to do to relax? What's that? LOL! We actually live a busy lifestyle with work, kids and involvement. However, we love our backyard Oasis, sitting in the pool, grilling out and watching TV together.

 

How are you involved in the community? Our family is extremely active in the community, John was former president of Kiwanis and is still an active member, we host an annual ChrissyGiving where we fundraise and donate to two local charities. Huge advocate and supporter of Denton ISD. Also associated with donate or volunteer with Denton Benefit League, Denton ISD bond committee, Denton Chamber, Our Daily Bread, United Way of Denton County, Interfaith Ministries, Giving Hope, Cumberlands, Denton County friends of family, Special Olympics, Denton state supported living center, Denton parks foundation, Denton Public School Foundation, MS Society, Scottish Rites and many more. We love being able to give back to our community. Our family has a passion for serving.

 

If you have kids, what activities are they involved with? Madison is a sophomore at University of Oklahoma and involved in her sorority Alpha Phi. She is majoring in Communications, Minoring in Journalism and plans to come back and teach for Denton ISD.

 

Holden is going to be a Junior at Denton High, he plays football, serves in Student Council, FCA and will be attending a leadership camp this summer.

 

What is your favorite part about living in your neighborhood? We loved all the heavily treed lots and that every home is different with its each character. We love being able to sell the homes here because they all have a special story.
