A Neighborhood Favorite
131 MAIN Restaurant Sets the Standard

A neighborhood staple for 16 years, 131 MAIN Restaurant in Biltmore Park Town Square was recently remodeled to maintain its standard of excellence. Owner Joe Douglas says, “We updated the storefront to make it more approachable from the exterior — more warm, interesting and inviting.”
Now with a gold steel and glass entryway and an ambassador stand ready to greet customers, 131 MAIN is committed to constantly improving and keeping with its high standards. Additional upgrades include new awnings, paint, patio and bathrooms. “We lowered the scale of the building, lowering both the shutters and the sign to make it more welcoming.” Also planned for this year are some upgrades to the dining room and the acoustics.
Open since 2009, 131 MAIN is a neighborhood staple that treats every guest as a regular. Joe operates the restaurant with a guiding principle: Wow every guest in a way that creates loyalty. “No matter how many times they interact with our brand, they will be regulars. Every detail will be considered,” Joe says.
Every team member is empowered to ensure you leave the restaurant happy with your experience. Each time you dine, the food and the service will be exceptional.
All of 131 MAIN’s food is served fresh, made in house daily and known for its flavor profile. There are no freezers. The upper-choice USDA beef is aged to perfection for 35 days. Guest favorites include the cedar plank salmon with whole-grain mustard butter and the ribs.
Known for its legendary hospitality and standard of excellence, 131 MAIN has been named by numerous families in Biltmore Park as their top restaurant of choice, their go-to place for business lunches, after-work happy hours, date nights and weekly evenings out, as well as birthday, anniversary and holiday celebrations.
The outdoor-area fire pits are a favorite in all seasons. 131 MAIN enjoys hundreds of reviews that include words like “phenomenal,” “perfection” and “always so good” to describe their 5-star experience.
Offering refined new American dishes along with uniquely selected wines and craft cocktails in an upscale-casual setting, 131 MAIN has a sophisticated yet relaxed vibe, with an inviting ambience. It features the Charleston charm of gas lamps, plank siding, a hickory woodfire grill and a chef’s table for viewing the kitchen in action.
With signature dishes like the warm cast-iron cornbread served with a honey drizzle, delicious martinis like the Pearfection, or their famous banana cream pie or decadent brownie sundae, 131 MAIN believes in growing regulars one by one.
