Springing Forward with Gratitude: 18 Years of Floral Joy
Bermuda Run Garden Club
As the first blooms of spring begin to peek through the soil, the Bermuda Run Garden Club is taking a moment to reflect on a season of giving that warmed hearts throughout the winter. Our March theme of "Spring" isn't just about the changing weather—it’s about the continued growth of our community spirit.
A Record-Breaking December
We want to extend a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who assisted with our December Senior Bouquets. It was a bustling day of teamwork and creativity as our members assembled a staggering 185 bouquets. These vibrant arrangements were hand-delivered to:
- Bermuda Village Health Care: 40 residents received a touch of holiday cheer.
- Davie County Meals on Wheels: 145 seniors received a surprise bouquet along with their hot meals, delivered by the dedicated MOW drivers.
Co-chairs Cindy O’Hagan and Janet DeLong noted the joyous reception at the Health Center, proving that a small gesture can make a world of difference.
Cultivating Kindness for 18 Years
While the December assembly was a festive "Jingle Jingle" success, this project is a year-round labor of love. Under the leadership of members like Donna, this initiative has become a cornerstone of our club’s mission.
By the Numbers:
- 4 Times a Year: We assemble and deliver these bouquets seasonally.
- 800 Bouquets: Our total for the past year fell just shy of this incredible milestone.
- 18 Years: We have been providing "a little joy" to Davie County senior care recipients for nearly two decades.
