Meet Abi Proudlove of Partnership Design

For Abi Proudlove, design has always been more than colors, fonts, signage, or graphics. At its best, it is connection. It is trust. It is the first impression that helps a business feel established, memorable, and ready to serve.

Abi is the Global Director of Partnership Design, a creative agency that helps businesses stand out through branding, print, digital design, exhibition graphics, signage, websites, and full creative campaigns. With more than 35 years of experience behind the company, Partnership Design works with clients across the UK, Europe, and the United States, bringing big-agency creativity with the care and commitment of a close-knit team.

Partnership Design was founded by Abi’s father in 1991, and although Abi did not originally plan to follow in his footsteps, creativity and business were woven into her life from the beginning. After starting her career in television and later working her way up through a fast-paced digital agency, Abi joined the family business in 2013. There, she learned not only the technical side of project management and design, but also the importance of relationships.

Her father’s influence still guides the company today. Abi remembers traveling with him to industry events, watching him care deeply for clients, solve problems on the spot, and do whatever it took to make each project successful. His clients became friends, and that same relationship-first approach remains at the heart of Partnership Design.

What sets Partnership Design apart is simple: they stay with the job until it is done right. From a logo refresh to an exhibition booth, from printed materials to a complete brand identity, the team focuses on consistency, professionalism, and practical design that helps businesses look as strong in person as they do online.

“You don’t always need a huge marketing budget,” Abi says. “Sometimes the biggest improvements come from a clearer visual identity and consistent messaging.”

While Partnership Design has deep roots in the UK, Abi’s own story has also become beautifully connected to Sarasota. After vacationing here for more than 40 years, she purchased a home in Skye Ranch following the loss of her father. What began as a vacation home eventually became something much more. Abi met her husband, a Sarasota-area high school teacher, and now lives here full-time with her family. Her daughter attends Riverview High School, and Abi is grateful to call Sarasota home.

Outside of work, Abi loves spending time at the beach and being with family. She is also proud that Partnership Design gives back each year by supporting a chosen charity. This year, the company is supporting Mind, a UK-based charity dedicated to mental health support and awareness.

Abi chose to partner with Stroll Bent Tree to grow local connections, build relationships within the surrounding communities, and introduce Partnership Design to businesses and residents who value quality, creativity, and trust.

And one fun fact residents may enjoy: Abi’s father grew up in Liverpool in the 1960s and once played bass guitar with The Beatles for a night.
