Building Something Meaningful
April and Eric Flynn are creating a life in Bent Tree rooted in connection, purpose, and a deep sense of community.

There’s something special about the way April and Eric Flynn are building their life together. It feels intentional, grounded, and full of heart.
The two met while studying International Business at Georgia State University, and what started as a simple connection in class grew into the life they now share. April is originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and Eric is from Alpharetta, Georgia, but Bent Tree is where they’ve chosen to call home and build their future together.
Since moving to the neighborhood in 2021, they’ve embraced not just their home, but the sense of community that comes with it. This house holds a lot of meaning for them as their first home together, a place where they’ve already created so many memories and continue to look ahead to what’s next.
Their home is also full of personality thanks to their three cats, Bo, Loki, and Thor. Each one brings something different, from Bo’s love of coconut oil to Loki’s gentle giant energy to Thor always wanting to be close by. They’re very much part of the family and add to the warmth of their home.
Both April and Eric have full-time careers, but what stands out is the passion behind April’s work. As a certified health coach and the founder of Nourished by April Flynn and the Nourished Girls Club, she has created something that goes far beyond business. Her work is rooted in connection, education, and helping others feel confident in who they are.
The Nourished Girls Club is a space for girls in grades three through seven to learn about their bodies, build confidence, and feel comfortable in who they are. It’s thoughtful, honest, and designed to give young girls something many women wish they had growing up. Through community gatherings and meaningful conversations, April is helping create a foundation that will stay with them for years to come.
For April, that mission is deeply personal. Her own experiences shaped the way she saw herself for years, and after doing the work to heal that relationship, she knew she wanted to create something different for the next generation. Something more supportive, more open, and more empowering.
At the same time, April and Eric are walking through a meaningful season together as they navigate their fertility journey. It has brought perspective, patience, and hope into their lives, and has only strengthened the foundation they’re building together.
When they’re not working, they keep life simple in the best way. Sundays are spent with family, a tradition they truly value. April stays involved in her cabaret community where she performs, and together they enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, and exploring local favorites like farmers markets and nearby spots around town. When they venture farther, Italy remains a favorite for its beauty, incredible food, and relaxed pace.
What they love most about Bent Tree is something many neighbors would likely agree with. It’s welcoming, full of character, and feels like a place where people truly care about one another.
April shared that it feels like the perfect place to build a family. Quiet, safe, and surrounded by people who make you feel at home.
The Flynns aren’t just living in Bent Tree. They’re building something meaningful, both inside their home and within the community around them.
