Heidi, a 5-year-old German Shepherd, has a story that is as powerful as it is heartwarming.

She was rescued from the streets of Phoenix, Arizona, and joined Jayne Feiner’s family when she was about a year and a half old. Not long after, she made her way to Florida, where she settled into a life filled with love, comfort, and care.

In 2024, Heidi faced a serious health challenge and nearly lost her life. After a difficult battle with Evans Syndrome, she is now in remission and thriving. Her journey is a quiet but powerful reminder of just how resilient and remarkable these animals can be.

Today, Heidi finds joy in the simple moments. She loves being around other dogs and has taken on the unofficial role of poolside lifeguard, always nearby and keeping a watchful eye on the action. She’s known for her consistently happy spirit and the kind of presence that naturally puts people at ease.
