Powering Homes With Care
Meet Brandon Borger | Archer Electrical Solutions
Most homeowners don’t think much about their electrical system until something feels off—a breaker trips, lights flicker, or an outlet runs warmer than expected. For Brandon Borger, those moments are never routine. They’re opportunities to step into someone’s home, earn trust, and help protect the place where families live their lives.
Brandon is the owner of Archer Electrical Solutions, a local company that provides residential electrical services, repairs, and installations. While his work ranges from minor fixes to full upgrades, his passion lies firmly in residential projects. “I love helping people make their homes safer and more enjoyable,” he says. To Brandon, a home is more than walls and wiring—it’s where people gather, rest, and build memories.
His path to the electrical trade wasn’t traditional. Before becoming an electrician, Brandon worked as an arborist, climbing trees and performing physically demanding, high-risk labor. During the slower winter months, he picked up electrical work, later expanding into HVAC installation and service. A turning point came when a close friend and work partner was seriously injured on the job. With a wife and young children at home, Brandon began reevaluating the daily risks he faced. “Having a wife and small children, I decided to pursue an electric career to lessen the chances of potential injuries,” he explains. While electrical work carries its own dangers, he believes careful practices and attention to detail make those risks manageable.
What sets Archer Electrical Solutions apart is the personal approach. Brandon doesn’t rush through jobs or treat customers like numbers on a schedule. “I like to get to know my customers,” he states. “I’ve met so many amazing people. I love hearing their stories and seeing the families that bring them so much pride and joy.”
When residents call Archer, they work directly with Brandon. He shows up, completes the work, and stands behind it. “I will treat your home like it’s my own and strive to create a positive experience through kindness and transparency,” he stresses. “Once I complete a job, I’m invested. No matter the time, if you need me, I’ll be there.”
That commitment is deeply tied to family. “I love my family very much, which is why I take my trade seriously,” Brandon expresses. “I know you love yours too, so we have to make sure your home is safe and operational.”
Archer Electrical Solutions offers a 15% discount to veterans and first responders, a small way Brandon gives back. He also encourages homeowners to consider working with smaller companies. “I’ve worked for both small and large contractors,” he notes. “Smaller companies often have more pride, intention, and accountability. My name is on every job, and I won’t rest until you’re satisfied.”
Many of Brandon’s favorite moments have nothing to do with tools. Listening to people’s stories, petting their dogs, and seeing how happy they are when the job’s done are moments that remind him why he chose this path.
Originally from Dayton, Brandon has lived in many places but always felt drawn back to the area’s hospitality and charm. At home, life is busy and joyful. His wife, Jessica, is a registered nurse at Kettering Main. Together, they’re raising a teenage son and two young daughters. Family time often means cooking meals together and being present with one another.
Outside of work, Brandon enjoys riding bikes with his daughters, taking his motorcycle out, and volunteering when he can. To him, success is simple: “Seeing my family happy and thriving.” He hopes to be remembered as a pillar of kindness and compassion.
Brandon is open about the challenges that shaped him. From a young age, he spent years in and out of boys’ homes and detention centers. Today, he sees his life as a gift. “I’m truly blessed to have the life I have now, which is why I’m grateful for every opportunity to serve,” he states.
