You're Invited!

Create your own design!

Do your kids have a passion for writing and a knack for storytelling? Would they want to be part of a dynamic team that creates engaging content while gaining valuable experience? Look no further! We are excited to invite kids 4th grade and up to become Junior Writers for our neighborhood's Stroll magazine.

Our next meeting:
When: Sunday, April 7th
Time: 3-4:30 PM
Where: Susie G's Specialty Cakes (2679 Hwy K)

During our visit, children will have the opportunity to meet the owner, explore the bakery, and gain insights into the business. Additionally, they will engage in hands-on activities such as rolling out cookie dough, decorating, and baking their own cookies. Following our experience, each participant will compose a few sentences expressing the enjoyment they experienced during our time together!

Susie G's, a family-owned facility, has been in business for 24 years and is entirely free of peanuts! They excel in crafting custom hand-drawn creations that not only boast visual appeal but also offer a delightful taste. Utilizing an age-old family recipe, their icing is prepared from scratch, and their cakes are known for being exceptionally moist and scrumptious.

About our Junior Writers Club:
We empower young talents by offering them the opportunity to contribute to our Stroll magazine. Similar to a scout troop, our team gathers once per quarter to brainstorm, assign articles, and collaborate on crafting compelling stories. By becoming a Junior Writer, they’ll not only hone their writing skills but also form lasting connections and build a strong portfolio.
