Meet Archie William Freeman
From Heartache to Happiness: How Archie Brought Joy Back to the Freeman Family

Winnie Fields: Archie, thanks for taking the time to chat with me today. You’re only a puppy, but you’re already making quite the name for yourself in the Freeman family. How has life been so far?
Archie: Winnie, life has been fantastic! I may be the youngest member of the Freeman crew, but I’ve already got this place figured out. There’s always something happening—whether it’s playtime with my big sister Bailey, getting belly rubs from Andrea, or sneaking a bite of whatever Matt, Tyler, or Jacob drops in the kitchen. I’d say I’m living the dream.
Winnie Fields: I heard you came into the Freeman family at a special time. Can you tell me a little about that?
Archie: Before me, there was Willie, another incredible Boston Terrier who was with the Freemans for over ten years. He was loved beyond words, and when he passed unexpectedly, it left a big hole in everyone’s hearts. Even Bailey, who had never been an only dog, seemed lost without him. But at that point, my breeder, who was also Willie's breeder, ironically came across a Facebook post of Andrea's and she asked if she was planning on having any more black and white Boston Terriers. She said she had one from a previous litter that hadn't found a home yet, and sent Andrea my photo, and as they say, the rest was history!
Winnie Fields: It sounds like you were meant to be with them. Now, I’ve heard you have some pretty unique habits—something about flying leaps?
Archie: Walking down from the couch or the porch is just too ordinary for me. I prefer to take a running leap, ears back arms out like I’m soaring through the air like Superman or Superdog.
Winnie Fields: Tell me about your relationship like with Bailey?
Archie: Bailey is the best! She was a little unsure about me at first, but now we’re inseparable. Honestly, I think she believes the Freemans got me just for her.
Winnie Fields: What about food? Any favorites?
Archie: I haven’t met a food I didn’t like. But peanut butter? That’s top-tier stuff. And the best part? I get my very own spoonful every day.
Winnie Fields: Have you ever gotten into any trouble with that love of food?
Archie: Well… there was that one time I gave my family a bit of a scare. They thought I had disappeared, but really, I was just under the grill, conducting a very important investigation—sniffing out any fallen leftovers.
Winnie Fields: One last question—what do you love most about your family?
Archie: That’s easy. The love. They took me in during a time when they needed me, but honestly, I needed them just as much. I wasn’t meant to replace Willie—no dog ever could—but I like to think I’m carrying on his legacy in my own way. The Freemans are my family, and I couldn’t be luckier.
Winnie Fields: Archie, it’s been an absolute pleasure talking with you. Something tells me the Freeman family is just as lucky to have you as part of their wonderful family!
