A Sweet Goodbye to Summer, A Warm Welcome to New Routines

Is it just me, or did summer fly by? It feels like we were just celebrating the Fourth of July, and now backpacks are packed, calendars are filling up, and the familiar rhythm of a new school year is beginning.

As our Windward kids head back to school, I'd love to celebrate them in our next issue! Please send me a quick photo of your student on their first day of school (or any fun back-to-school moment). No professional photos are needed—a simple snapshot from your phone is perfect! Email your photos to lisa.konz@strollmag.com. We'd love to feature as many of our Windward students as possible!

As August arrives, life in Windward starts to shift, too. The slower pace of summer gives way to morning carpools, after-school activities, and one of my favorite traditions—Friday night lights. There's something special about gathering with friends and neighbors to cheer on our local teams and celebrate another season together.

In this month's issue, we're introducing you to Alpharetta High School's new head football coach and sharing the Raiders' football schedule, so you can follow the team all season long. Whether you're a longtime fan or attending your first game, I hope you'll find yourself under the lights supporting our local students and enjoying the sense of community that makes this time of year so special.

You'll also read about how one of our Stroll partners, Central City Tavern, helped bring the excitement of the FIFA Club World Cup to downtown Alpharetta. It was no easy task but William Cooke made it happen!

Thank you for welcoming Stroll Windward into your home each month. As you flip through these pages, I hope you'll discover something new, support the trusted local businesses that help bring this magazine to life, and enjoy everything that makes Windward such a great place to live.

Until next month,
Lisa Konz
