Motherhood But Make It Social

Meet the neighbor behind the Plano Stroller Society

Introducing Plano Stroller Society — where modern motherhood meets community.
Stroller walks. Style tips. Local spots. Real connection. Plano Stroller Society blends community, lifestyle, and friendship into every step.

Plano Stroller Society offers casual meet-ups for moms (especially new moms!) looking to connect, get outside, and enjoy a relaxed stroll with their babies and strollers. Our monthly walks are a “come as you are” kind of thing — messy bun, coffee in hand, and ready to make new mom friends. Whether you’re new to pushing a stroller or seasoned pro, there’s a place for you here.

From the founder, Jenna Vanzant Underwood, of Plano Stroller Society:

Since becoming a mom, I’ve felt such a deep joy in this new chapter—but I also realized how hard it can be to find your people, especially as a new mom or one navigating maternity leave. That’s really what inspired me to start Plano Stroller Society: I wanted to create a space where like-minded moms could connect, share this season of life, and feel supported.

Before having my daughter, Layla, I was a full time wardrobe stylist. I worked regularly on photo shoots with national brands such as Neiman Marcus, JC Penney, Justin Boots, and more. While I’m currently loving my new role as a stay-at-home mom, I still take on freelance styling jobs from time to time to stay creatively connected. I’ve made sure to include my passion for fashion as a large part of Plano Stroller Society. Whether it’s sharing the cutest loungewear (because let’s face it, a cute set of pajamas can feel life changing during the newborn phase) or helping moms find their new style, my goal is to help moms feel like the rockstars they are again. I like to call it ‘redefining the mom uniform’—because style doesn’t have to stop when motherhood starts.

It all started pretty organically. After having my daughter, I’d go to weekly mommy & me baby classes at our local library. I quickly realized how much fun I was having creating connections with other moms going through the same phase of life—and I figured if I was feeling that, others probably were too. I also picked up on how many moms were new to the area and looking to meet new friends and for places to explore around town. I realized there was a need for that space within the mom community; and, since I had finally found my groove after the precious newborn trenches, I decided to just go for it! So I started an Instagram page and posted a few events inviting local moms to join me for walks, and those walks turned into real friendships. It’s growing into so much more than I imagined, and I’m so grateful to be building a community where moms can show up as they are—messy buns, leggings, and all.

I’ve always had a knack for bringing people together and creating a sense of community. For years, I dreamed about starting a women-focused club where people could meet and form genuine friendships, but I could never quite land on the right common thread to connect women from all different walks of life. Motherhood ended up being that thread—it’s something so deeply personal, yet universally shared. It naturally became the heart of Plano Stroller Society.

What I love most is seeing genuine connection happen—watching moms who didn’t know each other a few weeks ago chatting like old friends on a walk, swapping tips, sharing stories, or planning playdates. It’s such a powerful reminder that we’re not meant to do motherhood alone.

This little club has really brought a sense of warmth and togetherness to our community. I’ve had moms tell me it’s the one thing that gets them out of the house or helps them feel like themselves again. For me, that’s the most meaningful impact—creating something that makes moms feel seen, supported, and part of something special.

The Fan Club Behind Plano Stroller Society
My family includes my husband, our baby girl, and our two sweet rescue dogs. My husband has been my biggest cheerleader—he actually encouraged me to start this club in the first place. During my pregnancy and postpartum journey, he always supported me in staying active, whether it was neighborhood walks with the stroller, going with me to Pilates, or laps around the mall when it was too hot outside. Those simple walks became such a meaningful part of our routine, and they really inspired the early vision for Plano Stroller Society. So in a way, this whole community started with our little family walking side by side.
