Meet the Brys Family

New to the neighborhood and looking forward to making connections in their new community.

Please join us in welcoming the Brys family, who moved into the neighborhood in December 2023! Shakeh and Zach Brys, along with their two little ones, Owen (4) and Olivia (2.5), are already embracing all that the area has to offer. Both kids attend Raintree School and are thriving in their nature-based learning environment.

Zach, originally from St. Louis, has family in the area, while Shakeh hails from Glendale, California, where her family still resides. The couple chose this neighborhood for its beauty, access to lakes and trails, and the strong school district—a perfect fit for their young, growing family.

Professionally, Zach is the Vice President of Analytics at a logistics company, and Shakeh is the Chief Product Officer at a logistics tech startup. Outside of work, Zach enjoys golfing and playing hockey when he gets the chance. Shakeh loves yoga, the arts, and recently began exploring pottery at a studio in Wildwood. Owen and Olivia are already adventurers—especially Owen, who has started going on short hikes with his mom.

For fun and relaxation, the Brys family enjoys walks, backyard hangouts, and, of course, ice cream—Clementine’s Naughty & Nice has quickly become a household favorite. Regular dance parties are a nightly tradition, filling their home with music, laughter, and movement. Shakeh, who speaks Armenian, enjoys sharing Armenian music with the kids to keep them connected to her cultural roots. Raffi is another favorite on the playlist!

Thanksgiving Day hikes, cozy family dinners at home, and meals out at Mellow Mushroom or Gio Modern are some of their favorite ways to bond. They’re big fans of the Cardinals and Blues, and when it’s time to unwind, The Office and Ozark are go-to TV choices.

The Brys family is excited to meet new neighbors—especially other Armenian families nearby—and look forward to building lasting friendships in the community.
