Serving Up Success!
Wildhorse’s Lily Watson has spent four years growing her volleyball skills along with her love for teamwork, friendship & the thrill of the game.
Block!
12-year-old Lily Watson of Wildhorse has followed her passion for volleyball, and she’s stayed dedicated to her sport for the past four years. She’s been playing club volleyball for HPSTL for two years, and her dad Larry, mom Marie, and sister Emma are always cheering her on.
After watching Emma play volleyball, Lily developed a liking for the sport and decided that she wanted to play volleyball too. As the middle blocker of her team, Lily plays a crucial role in the success of her team.
Just last year, Lily’s team earned a bid to nationals, which means that they earned a place to compete in the USA Volleyball National Championships. Out of the thousands of teams, HPSTL was one of 64 to compete in the national championships.
Lily has always loved the thrill of playing and all the friends she’s made through this sport. Her favorite time will always be the moment when she and her teammates celebrate scoring a point. If you’re also hoping to play club volleyball like Lily, her advice is to get involved by signing up for camps, clinics, or just practicing with friends. Maybe even join a rec league if you’re not looking to play competitively.
Though Lily’s main focuses are school and volleyball, she also enjoys track and field, art, music, and just hanging out with her family and friends. We’ll be here to support you throughout your entire volleyball journey. You got this, Lily!
