Rising Star: Parker May of Wildhorse

At just 11 years old, Parker May, a sixth-grader at RVMS, has already made significant strides in the world of sports. Parker is a natural athlete and a fierce competitor in soccer, baseball, and lacrosse.

He began playing baseball and soccer at just four years old. Currently a striker and right-wing for SLSG Premier in soccer, Parker also showcases his versatility in baseball, where he’s a pitcher, catcher, and second baseman. Adding to his list of accomplishments, Parker ventured into lacrosse last year, playing faceoff, attack, and middie for St. Monica in CYC.

Fueling his passion for sports is the friendly sibling rivalry between Parker and his older brother, Rylan. The two have been competing one-on-one since they could walk, and this continues to drive Parker to be better. His dedication and skill have not gone unnoticed, with numerous awards and accolades under his belt. Most notably, he was crowned MVP in a Tennessee soccer tournament final, where his SLSG team emerged victorious with a 4-2 scoreline. Parker scored three goals and provided an assist for the fourth, marking it as one of his cherished memories.

While Parker thrives on challenging himself, being a great teammate, and winning, he acknowledges the difficulty of maintaining consistency in practicing all three sports throughout the year. The spring season presents a unique challenge as all three sports overlap, testing Parker's commitment and skills.

Parker embraces the philosophy of "we win or we learn." This perspective encourages him to take risks, learn from mistakes, and continuously improve. Beyond the field, Parker enjoys video games, fishing, and spending quality time with his biggest fans – his family: mom, Tiffany, dad, Josh, brother, Rylan and sister, Hannah.

As Parker May continues to grow as an athlete, we see a bright future for him in the worlds of soccer, baseball, and lacrosse.
