Maid 2 Clean: Amanda Bergmann’s Mission to Bring Comfort and Clean to Every Home
What began as a side gig has grown into a thriving, mom-powered cleaning business focused on family, flexibility, and giving back.

Born and raised in Wildwood, Missouri, Amber Bergmann never set out to become a business owner—but when life opened the door, she took the leap. A 2007 graduate of Lafayette High School, Amber began her career in early childhood education, working her way up to assistant director roles at multiple schools.
“I loved being a safe space for kids and someone parents could count on,” Amber shares. But as her own family grew, she stepped away from full-time work to focus on raising her children. When her youngest turned two, Amber began offering house cleaning services to neighbors—just a few homes at first, working around her husband’s schedule. Then word spread, and what started as a simple side gig quickly grew into Maid 2 Clean.
The name, like the business, was a family affair. “I asked my kids what I should call it. After some silly suggestions, one of them said, ‘Mom, you’re made to clean.’ I swapped ‘made’ for ‘maid,’ added the number 2 for a little spunk, and that was it—Maid 2 Clean was born.”
Today, Maid 2 Clean provides residential, commercial, post-construction, and organizing/decluttering services across the region. What sets the business apart is its heart: Amber’s entire team is made up of moms who work during school hours so they can be present for their own families. “We’re all balancing work and home life—just like our clients,” Amber says. “I want my team to be there for school pickups, sick days, and big moments. That flexibility is everything.”
Maid 2 Clean also gives back through free cleanings for families going through tough times—whether they’re facing illness, grief, or just feeling overwhelmed. “Your home is your sacred space,” Amber says. “When life gets heavy and it’s hard to keep up, we’re there to help pick up the pieces and bring comfort through cleanliness.”
Amber and her husband Danny are raising three energetic kids—McKenna (14), Bruce (9), and Mia (5)—who stay busy with golf, football, and competitive gymnastics. Their family recently bought land in Wright City to build their dream home, and in their free time, they enjoy riding dirt bikes with their two goofy dogs, Hank and Lila.
Through it all, Amber is proud of what she’s built: a woman-owned, mom-powered business that values flexibility, kindness, and connection. Maid 2 Clean isn’t just about spotless space, it’s about supporting families, empowering moms, and showing up where it matters most.
