Good Old-Fashioned Pancakes the Whole Family Will Love

Ingredients
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ¼ cups milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • Optional add-ins: chocolate chips, blueberries, or sliced bananas
Directions
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  2. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix until just smooth—don’t overmix.
  3. Heat a lightly oiled pan or griddle over medium-high heat.
  4. Pour about ¼ cup of batter for each pancake.
  5. Cook until bubbles form on top and the edges look set, then flip.
  6. Cook the second side until golden brown.
  7. Serve warm with syrup, butter, or your favorite toppings.
