Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 3 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 ¼ cups milk
- 1 large egg
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- Optional add-ins: chocolate chips, blueberries, or sliced bananas
Directions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix until just smooth—don’t overmix.
- Heat a lightly oiled pan or griddle over medium-high heat.
- Pour about ¼ cup of batter for each pancake.
- Cook until bubbles form on top and the edges look set, then flip.
- Cook the second side until golden brown.
- Serve warm with syrup, butter, or your favorite toppings.
