Roscoe Chmielewski: The Nighttime Ninja

This 15-year-old tub-loving cat keeps his family on their toes with playful pounces and motor-level purrs.

How can you resist that face?

Meet Roscoe the cat and his family, the Chmielewskis: Angela (mom), Leo (dad), and their 7-year-old daughter, Adrianna. They moved to Pine Creek in 2021 and have loved living in the community ever since.
Roscoe was gifted to the family as a birthday gift from dad, Leo. He is a 15-year-old British Shorthair—the same breed the Cheshire Cat is from Alice and Wonderland! Roscoe is known as the nighttime ninja in the house. He loves to hide in the dark and spring out at the perfect moment, usually when you least expect it. You never know if he’s lurking in the corner ready to pounce like a tiny, mischievous predator when you're headed to the bathroom for a drink of water in the middle of the night.
Apart from creeping on family members like the tiniest, cutest, tiger there is, you can also find Roscoe in one of the most peculiar places: the bathtub. He won’t hesitate to jump in the bath and wait for the water to turn on. He loves watching it run like it’s the most fascinating thing on the planet.
He may be 15 years old, but Roscoe is still a lively kitten at heart—especially when it comes to food (though pouncing on unsuspected family members is a close second). Roscoe eats twice a day. After a full, satisfying meal, preferably consisting of cooked chicken or shrimp—his favorite treats—he makes his way to his bed, letting his family know he’s perfectly content by purring like a tiny motor.
Whether he’s fast asleep or as hyper as a newborn kitten, Roscoe is a joy to the Chmielewski family and has lit up their lives with curious kitten behavior to motor-level purring. He is truly a precious pet!
