For Alison White, family, community, and service have always been at the center of life. A lifelong Pooler resident and proud registered nurse, Alison and her husband, Robbie, recently made Westbrook their new home after spending decades on family property in Pooler.

Having moved into Westbrook in July 2025, the Whites have quickly settled into the community and already feel right at home. In fact, Alison says they knew they had found their perfect place the moment they stepped onto the property. "We signed the contract that day," she recalls. "It really is a perfect location for us."

Family has always guided the couple's decisions. After the passing of Alison's parents, they began looking for a forever home on a smaller piece of land while remaining close to their children. Today, their Westbrook home serves as a gathering place where family and friends are always welcome—especially during the summer when everyone enjoys spending time around the pool.

Alison and Robbie's own story sounds like something from a movie. The two attended Savannah Christian School together but barely spoke during their school years. Robbie went on to play quarterback at East Tennessee State University while Alison stayed close to home to pursue nursing at Armstrong State College.

For more than a decade, their paths didn't cross. Then, during the Atlanta Braves playoff run in October 1991, they unexpectedly reunited at Coach's Corner in Savannah.

"The moment I saw him that night, I just knew he was the man I was going to marry," Alison says.

The couple began dating soon after, became engaged in November 1992, and married in August 1993. More than three decades later, they continue to build a life centered around faith, family, and community.

Together they raised three accomplished children. Their oldest son, Dustin, made local history as the first lacrosse player from the area to sign a Division I scholarship. After playing at Mercer University, he returned home and now serves as Head Lacrosse Coach and Director of Alumni Relations at Benedictine Military School. He and his wife, Ellison, live in Savannah.

Their son Dylan works for Myrick Marine on Hutchinson Island, where he has dedicated himself to earning the qualifications needed to achieve his goal of becoming a captain. Their daughter, Alana, graduated from Augusta University with a degree in Criminal Justice and later earned her paralegal certification from Clayton State University. She now works for an attorney in downtown Savannah.

The Whites also share their home with two beloved cats, Nala and Oreo.

Professionally, Alison has spent 39 years caring for others as a nurse. She devoted 29 years to Memorial Health before joining St. Joseph's/Candler, where she has spent the last seven years serving as Manager of the Pooler Campus Outpatient Surgery Center.

"I love being a nurse," Alison says. "For me, it's not just my profession—it's my passion."

Working in the same town where she has lived nearly her entire life makes her role especially meaningful. She takes pride in helping ensure every patient receives the kind of hometown welcome that Pooler is known for.

When she's not at work, Alison enjoys taking afternoon walks and spending quality time with family. One of the White family's most cherished traditions dates back more than 63 years to Alison's parents. Every June, family and friends gather at Elijah Clark State Park near Clarks Hill Lake for an annual camping trip that has become a treasured part of their lives.

"It's a special time when life slows down, and we enjoy being together," Alison says. "If anyone knows our family, they know June is our Clark Hill time away.”

After 20 years of owning and operating ROBCO Environmental, Robbie sold the business to Ryland Environmental and now serves as Division Manager for the company's Savannah location. He shares Alison's appreciation for simple pleasures. Together, they enjoy relaxing at home, spending time outdoors, and welcoming loved ones into the space they intentionally created for future family memories.

If Alison were introducing herself to a new neighbor, she would simply say she's a local nurse who loves helping others. Those who know her would likely add that she's a devoted wife, proud mother, community servant, and someone who never forgets the importance of family.

As the White family settles into life in Westbrook, they bring with them generations of local roots, a passion for serving others, and a reminder that life's greatest joys are often found in the people we love and the traditions we share.
