There’s a new kind of workout experience in South Sarasota—one that blends infrared heat, exercise, virtual instruction, and around-the-clock access to deliver powerful results. HOTWORX Sarasota is a 24-hour infrared fitness studio offering members unlimited access to a variety of sauna-based workouts, from 15-minute HIIT sessions like Hot Cycle to 30-minute isometric favorites like Hot Yoga, Hot Pilates, Hot Core, Hot Stretch and more. For owners Krystal and Tommy DeAlano, fitness has always been a central part of their lifestyle. “While planning our long-anticipated move and after personally experiencing the benefits of HOTWORX studios in Dallas, Texas, we looked for an opportunity in Sarasota,” explains Krystal. “When we discovered the area near our new Florida home didn’t have a studio, we decided to jump in and open one ourselves.”

They began the franchise approval process in 2023, completed extensive training, and secured their ideal South Sarasota site in late 2024. Even with construction delays after the major storms, they persevered—and proudly opened their doors in October 2025.

 

With more than 20 years of experience as entrepreneurs in the restaurant industry, private investments and rental properties, Krystal and Tommy brought a deep business background to their newest venture.

Krystal, a Dallas native and Texas A&M graduate, built a career in finance, commercial real estate investment and insurance agency ownership. Tommy, born in Bermuda, was raised abroad in a Navy family and finished school at NC State.  He soon transitioned from engineering into developing national restaurant concepts, and later, he went independent and became an award-winning restaurant and bar owner in Texas.

A chance meeting playing on a co-ed softball team turned into a Bermuda elopement and a life-long partnership centered around adventure while raising their two sons, Maverick and Gavin. Their 2024 move to Florida marked the start of an exciting new chapter.

 

HOTWORX’s patented infrared saunas combined with its 3D Training - the fusion of exercise, heat, and infrared energy - sets it apart from any other fitness studio. For Krystal and Tommy, the most fulfilling part of the business is helping people take control of their physical and mental health. “Hearing how HOTWORX has already made a difference in our members’ lives means everything to us.  We’re excited to offer people a workout that has benefits beyond the traditional workouts and one that can fit into literally any schedule,” they shared.

 

Their business philosophy is simple: put people first. “Strong relationships - with your team, customers, and community - are the foundation of every successful business,” Tommy explains.  “We chose to partner with Stroll Magazine because we want to connect with our neighbors and build worthwhile, lasting relationships,” Krystal continues.

As new residents, the family enjoys everything the area offers. You can regularly find them at the beach, exploring, sailing, engaging in music, art and fitness events, and dining in the thriving local restaurant scene. They also love travelling around Florida. Recent road trip adventures have taken them swimming with the manatees and scalloping in Crystal River, touring historic St. Augustine during Night of Lights, traversing the Overseas Highway on the way to fun weeks in Key West and exploring Orlando theme parks.

 

Being members of the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, on the board of their neighborhood association, partnering with nearby businesses and steadily involved with their sons’ schools, Krystal and Tommy thrive on being active locally.
