ReJENNerate
A Fresh Chapter in Skincare
Jennifer Horiuchi is proof that it is never too late to begin again. As the owner and esthetician behind ReJENNerate Skincare LLC in Sarasota, she has built a practice based on experience, education, and a desire to help people feel confident in their own skin.
For Horiuchi, skincare has always been personal. Long before launching her business, she was influenced by the women in her family who believed in caring for skin naturally and consistently. “Your skin is the largest organ in your body and the first thing people see. Take care of it,” she recalls hearing from her mother and grandmother, whose simple routines and timeless beauty made a lasting impression.
That early interest eventually found new purpose later in life. After stepping away from her nursing career to raise her three children, Horiuchi devoted years to family life, supporting their busy schedules and activities. When her youngest left for college, she found herself at a turning point. Rather than returning to nursing after two decades away, she chose to pursue something that had long fascinated her. At 57, she went back to school to earn her aesthetician license, embracing a fresh chapter with enthusiasm and confidence.
That decision has become the foundation of a business that reflects both her medical background and her passion for helping others. At ReJENNerate Skincare, Horiuchi offers customized facials and advanced treatments including dermaplaning, radiofrequency, no-downtime chemical peels, hydrodermabrasion, microcurrent, nanoinfusion, and microneedling. Her philosophy is both refreshing and relatable. “I believe it’s okay to enhance what we have, even though we can’t always erase,” she says.
What sets her apart is not only her technical knowledge, but also her thoughtful approach to aging. Horiuchi describes her philosophy as “pro aging,” a mindset centered on aging gracefully rather than aggressively. She is passionate about helping clients understand that effective skincare is not about chasing every trend or filling a counter with countless products. Instead, she emphasizes quality, consistency, and understanding which ingredients truly deliver results.
That commitment to education has also led her to explore cutting-edge treatments, including Korean skincare innovations. She has incorporated new services such as spicules and thread lifting masks, always with an eye toward results that are effective yet minimally invasive. Her goal is to offer clients options that support skin health, firmness, and rejuvenation without significant downtime.
Still, for Horiuchi, the most rewarding part of her work is much simpler. It is the feeling her clients leave with after a treatment. “Nothing is more rewarding to me than seeing someone leave my spa feeling more confident, refreshed and beautiful,” she says. She especially enjoys helping clients see steady progress over time, knowing that healthy skin is built through regular care and realistic expectations.
A strong believer in community, Horiuchi also gives back whenever possible by donating products and services to fundraisers and supporting local causes. She currently serves on the board for Girls Inc., an organization she values deeply for the opportunities it creates for young women.
Supported every step of the way by her husband and children, Horiuchi has created more than a skincare business. She has built a meaningful second act, one that blends science, service, and heart. In doing so, she reminds others that reinvention can happen at any age, and sometimes the best time to begin is exactly when you are ready.
