Favorite School Memory: I was in AP Physics C last year as a student taking Calculus concurrently, a nearly unheard of opportunity at the time. I remember struggling through the class extensively, and there was one operation that I struggled to understand. Then, one day, my fellow classmates were explaining it to me, and suddenly, as quickly as someone snapping their fingers, I understood it perfectly and began running through the process over and over again out of the joy that I felt for understanding.
Teachers who inspired you most: Children tend to build themselves and their personalities off of what they see in other people. Many are attracted to celebrities or characters from their favorite books and movies. However, I was drawn to Mr. Seth Gardner. Throughout all of middle school and high school, I have been a student of Mr. Gardner in choir, and through this I have learned so much not only about singing, but about how a person should live and act.

Talents or Hobbies: My foremost talent is my singing ability. I have been singing with the Pine View Choirs for 7 years now, and I have been to many competitions and performed many times, even as a soloist at my graduation. My hobbies are reflective of my two majors - I have taken an affinity to composing and arranging songs, spending a significant amount of time writing, and I also read textbooks extensively (yes, I am aware that is incredibly strange), usually relating to a science, math, or computer science concept.

What will you miss most about being at home or living in Sarasota? I'm going to miss the people that I am leaving behind. Throughout many of my activities, I have become great friends with many other Pine View Students in lower grades. It has been years since I have had a single day without them all around, and it will be strange to rarely see them anymore.
Summer Plans: This summer, I plan to work as an industrial design intern for Noah Architectural Design Group. On top of this, I plan to train myself in backpacking with weekly ventures to the Celery Fields and Myakka in preparation for a backpacking pre-orientation trip with Bucknell.
