Lolli-Pops! Children’s Concert Series: Don’t miss the final Lolli-Pops events of the summer at Village Green Amphitheater! Saturday, August 2 from 8 to 11 p.m.: Explore the “Mysterious World of Moths” with author Chelsea Gottfried, followed by a hands-on moth search. Saturday, August 9 from 6:30 to 9 p.m.: Discover the return of Ohio’s wildcats during “Bobcats are Back!” with Dr. Shauna Weyrauch, who will also sign her new children’s book. Friday, August 15 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.: Bring the family for a Night Hike featuring owls, live animal encounters, and s’mores around the fire.

Olentangy Caverns Summer Activities: Join fun workshops for kids this summer at Olentangy Caverns. Ages 5 and up are invited to the final Tie-Dye Tuesday, taking place August 5 during your choice of 30-minute time block between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. Geared toward ages 5-12, the last Birding Wednesday on August 6 offers a free educational and active experience, learning about birds and seeking them on the walking trail. National Night Out: On Tuesday, August 5, join in National Night Out, an annual community-building event that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Meet your Powell first responders, enjoy a hot dog on the grill, and participate in activities for the whole family. Powell Farmers Market: Get ready for fresh produce, handmade goods, and community spirit at the Powell Chambers Farmers Market! Library Events: Each month, the Liberty Branch Library offers a variety of activities to engage people of all ages. In August, come to the library for such exciting events as a Teen Movie Marathon, a faux-stained glass wine bottle art class, and a bargain book sale. Powell Concert Band: The Powell Concert Band will perform its third and final Village Green concert for the summer, along with the Reynoldsburg Community Band, on Sunday, August 17 at 7:30 p.m. Families can support local musicians and get in the spirit of summer at this fun outdoor concert. Powell Citizens’ Police Academy: If you are interested in police work and appreciate civic duties, the Powell Citizens' Police Academy may be perfect for you! This 11-week free course offered at the Powell Police Department will teach you CPR, how to operate a fire extinguisher, how to dust for fingerprints, and more! The class will meet on Wednesdays from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., starting on August 27. Participants from Powell will be given preference, but all interested are encouraged to apply.
