Richard the French Bulldog crash-landed into our lives in 2023, courtesy of Lone Star Bulldog Rescue, and frankly, the world has not been the same since. With a body shaped like a loaf of bread and a tongue that clearly missed the “stay inside the mouth” memo, Richard is an icon of chaos and cuddles. He is the happiest, goofiest creature on four stubby legs—and he knows it.

Richard is madly in love with his humans, his stuffies, and his snack stash. He shares his days with Frenchie BFFs Kevin, Tilly, and Frank, but his one true soulmate is his sister Tina, a fellow snort machine and cuddle buddy. If she moves, Richard moves. If she naps, he’s already there, tongue first.

His hobbies include aggressively snuggling, squeaking the life out of plush toys, and throwing dramatic side-eyes when snack time is even one second late. He gallops like a potato with legs and snores like a grandpa with a sinus infection—and we wouldn’t change a single thing.

Richard didn’t just get rescued—he took over. And now we’re all just living in his chonky, slobbery, joyful little kingdom.
