Stroll Venetian Isles Block Party Raises Over $14,000 for the Jackson Copeland Foundation

On the evening of March 6, 2026, neighbors gathered at 2084 Michigan Ave NE for a memorable Stroll Neighborhood Block Party Fundraiser & Blood Drive, proving once again that when community comes together, incredible things can happen.
From 5:30–7:30 PM, Venetian Isles residents enjoyed a lively evening filled with music, delicious food, complimentary beer and wine, and a spirited 50/50 raffle—all while supporting the meaningful work of The Jackson Copeland Foundation. Guests also had the opportunity to meet the Copeland family, fellow neighbors whose personal story and mission inspired the creation of the foundation. Hearing their story firsthand made the evening even more meaningful.
The event encouraged neighbors to give back in many ways. Attendees donated blood with OneBlood, registered for the National Marrow Donor Program, and contributed loose change to the foundation’s heartfelt “Pennies for Jackson” campaign. Those jars of spare coins truly added up.
Shona and Reid Holden of Floor Coverings International were among the first to raise their hands, stepping in as our Platinum Sponsor and helping bring the event to life. By the end of the evening, the generosity of the community was remarkable. Through donations, online contributions, merchandise sales, checks, coins, and the raffle, the event raised $7,063.09. That amount was generously matched dollar-for-dollar by Matthew Wirth of Palm Restoration, bringing the grand total to an incredible $14,126.18 raised for the foundation.
The impact went beyond fundraising.  OneBlood was in attendance with their Blood Bus collecting donations. Fifteen neighbors donated blood, helping provide life-saving support for up to 45 local patients, while nine guests registered as bone marrow donors, with several additional swab kits taken home to participate.
The Jackson Copeland Foundation continues its mission through programs like Pennies for Jackson coin drives in local schools, expanding volunteer opportunities for students through Bright Futures service hours, and supporting critical leukemia research and education initiatives with organizations such as Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Moffitt Cancer Center.
Looking ahead, the foundation is already planning its next major fundraiser in late June in honor of Jackson’s birthday, with potential partnerships in the works with 3 Daughters Brewing and Bayboro Brewing.
Events like this remind us that community isn’t just about where we live—it’s about how we show up for one another. One drop, one penny, and one neighbor at a time, Venetian Isles continues to make a difference.
