Rob, Steph, Eva, Teddy & Gus

 

We picked Andy up in Connecticut in May of 2020. He is a Covid puppy. However, we had been on a list with his breeder long before the pandemic hit. It was convenient that we were all on lock down when he was a puppy.

Andrew Cuomo was the governor of NY in 2020 and we watched him on the news every day when Covid was at its height. Of course, we didn’t anticipate Governor Cuomo's fall from grace. We now say he's named after Andy from The Office, a favorite tv show character.

He is wonderful with our family and friends. He is happy to run around with other dogs when he goes to Pet Paradise and gets a great report card. However, he is a total nightmare on a leash and barks like crazy at other dogs.  Apologies if you've seen us on the esplanade and he gets crazy. We try to weave the streets to keep the drama down.

He is so loyal and sweet to his family members. He keeps us company throughout the day when we are home and he snuggles with each family member before bed at night. He is not perfect but he is ours and we love him! He is also a very handsome guy!

He thinks our youngest son is his baby. Ever since he was a puppy, he looks after Gus (now 8 years old), licking him, especially if he gets hurt. He is also a master counter surfer. From cookies to butter to beef jerky sticks, he's gotten it all. Don't leave your backpack out after school if you have any leftover snacks in it! He will get them!

He loves us unconditionally and is always there for us. We wouldn't be the same without him.
