Wired for Joy: How Wired Up Party Zone Is Powering Fox Valley Celebrations
When Wired Up Party Zone opened in January 2025, founder Michael Poulos had a clear vision: build a high-energy, private celebration space where families could unplug from the outside world and truly enjoy being together. Just a year into the journey, that vision is becoming a reality for families across the Fox Valley.
Wired Up is a family-run business at its core. Michael is the face of the operation, while his brother Marcus plays a major role behind the scenes with planning, finance, and operations. Their sister Christina brings the experience to life on the floor at Wired Up Party Zone, helping run parties and making sure every guest has an incredible time. It’s a true sibling effort, built on trust, teamwork, and shared purpose.
Although Michael now lives in Elburn, St. Charles has always felt like home. His father worked at the St. Charles Post Office throughout his childhood, and those roots run deep. Today, Michael is also a proud father to a 12-year-old who attends Geneva South and stays busy with Tri-City Football, Geneva Baseball Association baseball, and floor hockey. Between youth sports schedules and cheering on the Chicago Bears and Cubs, community life is woven into the rhythm of his days.
At Wired Up Party Zone, every event is private and fully hosted, giving families exclusive use of the space. Parties are built around interactive gaming, music, karaoke, air hockey, and open activity areas, with optional VR experiences. The team manages transitions between games, food breaks, and group activities, allowing parents and coaches to relax and enjoy the celebration alongside their kids. Guests are welcome to bring their own food, desserts, and themed décor to personalize the experience.
While kids’ birthday parties and sports team celebrations are the heart of the business today, Wired Up is growing into a year-round gathering place. The vision includes adult birthday parties, Bunco nights, fantasy draft parties, milestone celebrations, and private events for any reason people want to bring their circle together.
Community connection is central to Wired Up’s purpose. Since opening, the team has supported local elementary schools, youth sports organizations, teacher appreciation groups, parochial schools, Rising Lights, and local arts initiatives through donations and sponsorships. They’ve also shown up at neighborhood events, from Corron Elementary’s Fall Fest to Cookies with Santa at the Thornwood Clubhouse, building relationships one conversation at a time.
With nearly 200 parties hosted and more programs on the way, Wired Up Party Zone is helping make the Fox Valley a little more connected, one celebration at a time.
