Capturing Life in Every Frame: Meet Becca Lentz of B&B Photography

Since moving to Thornwood in 2019, Becca Lentz has fully embraced the community’s strong sense of friendship and connection. “We love the neighborhood, especially the pool,” she shares with a smile. But it’s not just summer swims that keep Becca busy—she’s the talent behind B&B Photography, where she captures life’s most meaningful moments with warmth, creativity, and style.

What began in 2017 as a hobby quickly evolved into a successful photography business. Through a combination of online classes, supportive local mentors, and years of experience, Becca has honed a unique style that blends professional technique with a personal touch. Today, she operates out of her studio at 2075 Prairie Street, Suite 104 in St. Charles, and her schedule is filled with everything from newborn and family portraits to the latest addition to her offerings: dynamic sports photography.

“No two sessions are alike,” Becca explains. “Especially with newborns—you never know what you’re going to get. But that’s what makes it fun. We style every shoot to make it feel personal and one-of-a-kind.”

Becca’s creative process includes seasonal styled shoots—two to three per year—which she plans and styles herself, including wardrobe and location scouting. Her studio Christmas sessions are a community favorite, and by October, her space transforms into a cozy holiday wonderland.

Her work has also earned recognition—Becca placed 18th in a prestigious photography contest for a portrait of her daughter in a sunflower field, earning national attention in the child portrait category. Online, she stays inspired by engaging in photography communities on Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram, where she also shares her latest work and ideas.

Thornwood residents may have seen Becca behind the lens at local events, as she occasionally shoots for Stroll Thornwood when her schedule allows. “Wherever I go, I always have an eye out for a quick photoshoot,” she laughs.

For aspiring photographers, Becca offers this advice: “Find your style, try new things, and just keep shooting.”
