The Nolen Family

Meet the Nolen family—Rusty, Treva, Grayson, Reese, and Ellis! We moved from the Atlanta area to The Waters with our Havanese, Tua, about two years ago. We have found that life in The Waters is slower-paced, which allows us to focus more on what’s important to us—faith, family, and friends.

Rusty’s pharmaceutical career has moved our family around a few times, and we’re happy to have landed in Pike Road. Rusty is currently the Executive Director of Marketing at Kowa Pharmaceuticals in Montgomery, and I work part-time from home as a business manager for Lone Eagle Management, a property management company based in New Jersey. Rusty enjoys working out, playing tennis, and watching Alabama football. I spend my extra time playing tennis, volunteering in the community, and spending time with friends.

We have three daughters who all attend Pike Road Schools—Grayson (15), Reese (12), and Ellis (8). Grayson plays tennis for Pike Road and enjoys hanging out with her friends, going to the lake or beach, and babysitting. Reese loves acting and dancing and has recently picked up tennis. She’s been in two Pike Road Theater Company plays and takes dance at Pike Road Dance Academy. Ellis also enjoys dance and spends all her extra time living her best life at the neighborhood park or at the pool with friends.

We love living in The Waters. As soon as we pull into the neighborhood, we open the car windows, turn up the music and let the fresh air in, and all our worries melt away. It's heavenly! Our favorite thing to do is ride around on our golf cart at sunset and admire the breathtaking views. We also love sitting on our porch watching our kids play at the park or ride bikes. When we built our house across from the park, we didn’t realize how much our youngest would play there. From sunup to sundown, she’s there playing with neighbors.

Living in The Waters truly is like living in Mayberry! Here, the “it takes a village” mentality is real. This neighborhood is something special, and we feel very lucky to be a part of it.
