The Resort has been Nick and Niki’s favorite place to live by far, however, they have lived in the Fort Worth area for 32 years. Their family consists of three adult sons - Brad, who tied the knot with the lovely Tamara seven years ago, Joel, and Casey, who recently got married to the equally wonderful Mikayla in April. Another important member of the family is an elderly, but spunky dog named Mia. Nick and Niki have lived on Portwood Way for almost 10 years.

After graduating from Oklahoma State University, Niki worked as a CPA for a few years before promoting herself to “Headmaster of the Kuklenski Academy” where she homeschooled their boys. Nick retires at the end of this month after flying for 36+ years for American Airlines. Since the word “relaxation” is not in his vocabulary, his entrepreneurial spirit has developed and continues to develop some business ventures, with Niki keeping the finances to avoid audits!

Their favorite hobbies are golf, card games with friends, and traveling.  They have traveled extensively, but their favorite spot is their family lake home on Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri.  To relax, “The Resort” Kuklenskis do the following:

Niki: “I like to read or play sudoku.”
                Nick: “…Relax?”
                Mia: takes naps

Legacy Baptist Church is where they worship, and they feel blessed by the people there and for the teaching they have received as members.

Nick has a huge interest in encouraging and guiding young people in their quest to learn to fly and has been indirectly, and sometimes directly, involved in inspiring many new pilots. Niki is active in The Resort Ladies Golf Association and has served on the board for several years.   The organization has wonderful ladies which she has had the privilege to get to know.

Brad and Tamara live in Bellevue, WA and have many friends in the area, even in Canada and down in Portland as well! Joel lives in the Kansas City River Market, within walking distance to most of the downtown area, where he walks his 3-year-old, 10-lb pup, Garrus. Casey and Mikayla live in Lewisville and can visit Nick and Niki at The Resort regularly!

Niki says, “What we love about The Resort is the sense of community from the people.  Sure, the number of activities is great, but fellowship and getting to know other people is key.”
Nick agrees with Niki and adds, “I love the benefit of golf, and friends who are just a short golf cart drive away”.
