Naples Power Plate Studio offers golfers, pickleball players a comprehensive training plan for lower scores and fewer injuries.

With over 20 years of teaching and coaching in the golf industry, Sarah Dant has helped
hundreds of golfers realize their full potential on the golf course through her unique
training methods. 

A graduate of Mississippi State University, Sarah started her teaching career at Belle Meade Country Club before moving to the Golf Club of Tennessee, and then taking a teaching position at Royal Poinciana Golf Club here in Naples. Sarah has won several teaching awards, including Golf Digest’s Best In State Instructor. Her unique training program focuses on lowering scores by improving a players’ technical and mental skills, and now enhancing their athletic performance. 

Sarah and her husband Mitchell Mackedanz, also a golf professional, opened Fit For
You in January 2023 with their sister-in-law, Lydia Dant, a certified personal trainer.
The decision to open a functional training and strength studio, while seemingly a side step from golf, is a decision that came from a desire to help her students improve their game.
Sarah has seen great success with her coaching methods, but recognized a key area
was being overlooked: her students’ physical fitness. Core and glute strength are the most important muscles for your golf swing, but they tend to be forgotten or overlooked. We assess each client’s fitness level and have the option to evaluate your swing in the studio using our indoor simulator. I work directly with our head TPI Certified trainer, Lydia, and we also have a Physical Therapist who works in the studio. The workout programs target the muscles we need for everyday performance. The moves are specific to building speed, power, rotation, balance, mobility – all the essentials for success at your sport. 

Fit For You uses a unique training medium called Power Plate, or whole body vibration.
All strength and balance exercises are completed on a vibrating platform, which increases muscle activation, neuromuscular connections, bone density, blood flow, flexibility, and balance, and has the added benefit of decreasing joint pain and stiffness. “As a golf professional, I truly believe there is no better way to train than on a Power Plate. And what is more, the Power Plate increases muscle activation by up to 138% percent, which means faster results with less time in the gym.” It's no wonder that over 80% of NFL teams use the Power Plate in their training, it has become the official warm-up and recovery partner of the APP (Association of Professional Pickleball) and why athletes like Serena Williams and others use the technology.

It’s not just golfers who are benefiting from the programs at Fit For You. Their clients
include pickleball players, tennis players, runners, and CrossFit athletes. And clients
have seen results show up in their game. “Not only did I gain 20 yards on my drive
without any changes to my swing, I improved my A1c lab work results.” says Mary, who
had tried many other fitness classes before joining Fit For You. “ I have always worked
out, but Fit For You has improved my core strength and balance, and decreased my
pain levels. I no longer have the persistent hip and knee pain that I have always
experienced,” says Pat. Another client was able to quit using his walker for balance after
15 sessions! The Power Plate has also been shown in independent research to benefit
those dealing with neuropathy, Multiple Sclerosis, and Parkinson’s.
