Meet Cathy Holloway Hill

Cathy Holloway Hill is originally from right here in Louisville and moved to Lake Forest in 1995. She met her husband, Tony, “the love of her life,” after seeing him on TV as a game show host. “He was so very handsome and I dreamed of one day becoming his wife. Lo and behold, my dream became my reality,” Cathy shares with us. In addition to Tony’s media work, he is also an educator in the Central Indiana education system. His work is monumental and his students love the kind and caring nature in which he approaches his work. The couple enjoys collaborating with a variety of youth organizations around town to help younger generations stay healthy in mind, body, and spirit.

Cathy graduated from Bellarmine University with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, and she also holds a Master’s degree from Walden University in Psychology. She began her corporate career at the young age of 19 at IBM Corporation as an IT professional. She then moved to Brown Forman where she finished her corporate career. Hill held many C-level executive management roles until one day she felt that something was missing. After 30 years, she realized that she was making money, but she was not making a difference. That is when Hill knew it was time to move on to the next level.

In 2007, Hill voluntarily resigned from Corporate America to start her own personal and professional development company called C. Holloway Hill Enterprises. The focus of the company is on leadership training, behavioral modification, and youth development programs. She had her own radio and television shows entitled “Living By Design,” where the focus was on self, health, and wealth enrichment.

Hill is the author of three self-help books and has interviewed many notable greats on her shows, including Dr. Maya Angelou. Cathy transcribed this interview into the foreword of her third book, Secret Betrayal, which focuses on improving female collaborations instead of getting caught up in envy, gossip, and betrayal. Cathy is in the process of completing her fourth book, Navigating the Caregiver’s Journey. She has conducted youth training and corporate workshops nationwide. She has also conducted many keynote presentations for multiple individuals and industries, including colleges and universities. In addition to her leadership development and youth work, she also has a certification in Holistic Health Remedies. It is her passion to ensure that she and her family live a healthy lifestyle.

Cathy and Tony enjoy the camaraderie of Lake Forest, the beautiful surroundings, the large size of the community, and that the residents are friendly and fun to be around. They live on a cul-de-sac and feel that all of the neighbors are like family who look out for each other. When Cathy and Tony are away, their neighbors always step up to keep an eye on their property.

This lovely couple has family traditions revolving around the holidays where they love coming together to share memories and time. Cathy believes that we all have busy lives, but holidays are their way of staying connected.

Cathy helped raise her niece, Lisa, due to the death of her sister. Lisa is grown now with a beautiful family of her own and Cathy is now a MiMi to Lisa’s children. Lisa is a beauty consultant and can be found as @BaileyBeautyGirl on all social media platforms. Hill is very proud of Lisa’s accomplishments as a mother, wife, and entrepreneur. Together, they collaborate and enjoy discussing ways to grow their businesses and they stay active and engaged in the community. It is their purpose and passion to make a difference in the lives of others.
