Ollie Blaze Leisl "Ollie" is a six-month-old Samoyed that is gentle, sweet, and a lot of fun! The Leisl family can’t get enough of his white fluff which is perfect for snuggling. They love taking Ollie to the park and on hiking trails. Although he is so young, he does well staying with them on the trails. Ollie belongs to a working breed, so lots of exercise and training makes him happy. He loves exploring nature and so do the kids. The four Leisl children enjoy running and playing with him in the backyard. Samoyeds were originally bred to herd reindeer, so occasionally, he will herd the children! Samoyeds are very family oriented and want to be wherever the family goes. “He will follow us around the house room to room, just to be close,” Jessica Leisl told us.

 

The family once had two Samoyeds that passed away in 2022. They loved the breed so much that knew they would eventually get another "Sammy.” They got Ollie from the same breeder in Georgetown, Indiana as their previous Samoyed. The breeder also has a love for Samoyeds and have even entered some of their dogs in dog sledding races. Ollie is a special dog like those that preceded him. He has the perfect demeanor and is so loved by the Leisls!
