On May 7th, the GDWC hosted its 7th Annual Hats & Gloves High Tea Luncheon at the beautiful Ocean Club. Elegantly set tables awaited the arrival of our guests, and each lady was greeted with a glass of champagne at the bar upon entry.

As guests mingled with friends, they were serenaded by the soothing sounds of classical guitarist Steve Wohlrab, who provided lovely background music throughout the afternoon. The atmosphere was charming and celebratory—perfect for such a special occasion.

A delicious selection of tea sandwiches and dainty desserts was served, accompanied by a variety of teas, coffee, and specialty drinks. It was a true high tea experience, blending elegance and enjoyment in every detail.

During the event, members of the Women’s Club voted to select this year’s recipient of the 50/50 charity donation, which will be officially awarded at our upcoming September luncheon. It was heartwarming to see the continued commitment to community giving paired with such a joyous celebration.

The Hats & Gloves Luncheon remains one of the GDWC’s most beloved traditions, and this year’s event did not disappoint. From the stylish attire to the delicious fare and meaningful moments shared, it was truly a grand afternoon. We’re already looking forward to next year!
