What an incredible and busy year 2025 was for Happy Hooves! It was truly a privilege to serve children and adults with special needs, at-risk youth, and Upstate veterans and their families through therapeutic riding lessons and equine-assisted activities.

Each lesson, each breakthrough, and each smile reminds us why we do what we do. The connection between horse and rider is powerful — building confidence, strength, independence, and hope. Throughout the year, we have witnessed remarkable growth in our participants, not only in their riding skills, but in their courage, communication, and joy.

And 2026 is already off to a heart-filled start! These three friends recently had an awesome time making Valentine’s cards with their horses — a perfect blend of creativity, connection, and a little barnyard sparkle. And yes… Asher does  have a red glitter heart on his rump! We think he might have enjoyed the festivities just as much as everyone else! Moments like these remind us that healing and growth can also be full of laughter and fun.
