Right From the Start

Frisco has been there through it all, bringing love, laughter, and comfort every step of the way.

Hi, I’m Frisco.

I’m a 10-year-old mini Australian Shepherd with one brown eye, one blue eye, and a very happy outlook on life. I live with the Harper family, and I’ve been with them since the very beginning, like the beginning.

My mom and dad got me right after they got married. They saw me, thought I was irresistible (correct), and brought me home. But my name is where things get really special.

Before I came along, they went on their honeymoon to Colorado and spent time in a little town called Frisco near Breckenridge. They walked the main street, had breakfast with mountain views, and even played disc golf by a lake with sailboats. It was one of their favorite memories together, so they named me after it.

Which means I’m not just a dog. I’m part of their love story.
Pretty cool, right?

Now, I was technically born to be a shepherd. But here’s the thing, we don’t have sheep. So when I was a puppy, I tried to herd my people instead. I would nip at their ankles and try to guide them where I thought they should go. It didn’t really work out. They were not very cooperative. Eventually, I realized they were going to do their own thing, so I decided to just supervise instead.

These days, I’m much more relaxed.

I’m known for always being happy. Truly. I love being outside, especially laying in the backyard soaking up the sun. It’s one of my favorite things to do, just resting, watching the world, and enjoying the moment. I like to think I’m a good reminder to my family to slow down every now and then.

Don’t worry though, I still have some structure in my life.
For example, I eat breakfast first. This is non-negotiable. I also stay very well groomed because looking good is important. I have my own comfy bed where I sleep every night, and I take my responsibilities seriously, mainly being available for snuggles whenever needed.

And let me tell you, I am needed.

My family has grown since I first joined them. There are kids now, and they’ve never known life without me. I’ve been there for all of it. The playing, the laughing, the growing up, and the moments when they just need a little extra comfort. I’m always nearby, ready for a cuddle or a little fun.

I bring a lot of joy to this house. A lot of laughter too.

And if you happen to walk by our house and hear me barking, don’t worry. I’m not being mean. I’m just really excited to see you. I would absolutely come say hi if I could.

I’m Frisco. Part of the beginning, part of the everyday, and very much part of the family.
